What inspired this page?
While the idea of a blog that combines two of my favorite things - hiking and history - has long been on my mind, it was the opportunity of a class assignment that finally had me start on this in earnest.
With this blog, the goal is twofold: I hope to show that history need not be boring, that, just like hiking, it can be an amazing adventure. Besides sharing my own travel adventures and pictures, I will also collect stories from other people who I come across in my wanderings. I am hoping this will be a fun depository of fun hikes, interesting tales, and gorgeous pictures.
